I have a ques...I m interested in  starting up as an Online Florist and obviously need to develop a website for the same. But one important ques that I face is how good the Online Floral industry is today? What is its share in the total Sales being generated globally? And if I start initially as an Affiliate to a Big Online florist like 1800flowers or teleflora, than what are my chances to succeed? I mean what share does the affiliates enjoy in generating the global sales?

Lets talk about Business Management and we have zillions of things coming up in the mind  Smiley.
Awaiting an answer pleeeaasee...

We find that your sales will depend largely on how good you are at getting your website found.
The backend that you use (e.g. 1800Flowers) can only convert sales leads that your marketing has brought to your site.
In terms of affiliation, depending on what countires you want to cover, Petals can probably help you with Australia, NZ and England at least. see www.petalsnet.com for more info on that.

Thanks so much...do u hv any idea about the global sales being done each year by the Online flower industry......?

I have no idea really.  I did see a paper done by a US firm which, as I recall, suggested about 1/2 of the long distance work previously done by florists was now being done by other parties.  Some of these would be on-line order gathers, some work sent directly to the supplying florist by consumers using the search engines to find the florist.
