It seems that the three largest relay services in the UK all have quite restrictive membership arrangements compared to most other countries.  Elsewhere, florists are generally free to join any relay service, Internet directory etc that they like.  But in the UK, Interflora and Teleflora florists (and as I understand it, Flowergram on a less restrictive basis) can't - thereby limiting their potential income streams - and their ability to make their own choices.

However, Caroline Marshall-Foster, Editor of trade magazine 'Florist Wholesale Buyer" has taken up the cudgels on behalf of UK florists and is taking the fight for freedom to the relay services via her magazine.
