Has anyone heard of a digital flower printer?  I think it is a printer that prints photos on real flowers???  If there is anyone out there that has used one I would be interested in your comments on it? ;D

I haven't used it but saw two men operating one at Sydney Markets just before Valentines Day. It looks like a normal printer with a little alcove in which the flower (they used roses) is placed, it only took a matter of minutes to print but of course then they need time and space to dry. The control centre was a laptop, pretty amazing technology .... poor little flowers though  :'(

There is a florist in Québec that does it www.megflowers.com but I am sure I have recieved a pamphlet from a local florist in Australia but I cant remember the name.. i will keep a look out

I saw an advertisement in the Modern Wedding Flowers magazine (8th edition) - this business embosses messages and images on flowers. www.speakingroses.com.au.  1300 767 302. 
Maybe they could point you in the right direction.

I guess one of the things that intrigues me is - what does one charge for this service and would it replay the investment in the machinery? 
Somewhere in the US magazines, I have seen printers that print onto ribbon which can then be used to tie arrangements and bouquets. 

I would think one would sell a lot more printed ribbon than printed flowers?

Is that thinking right?

Did you ever find a floral printer?  If so, is it working like you want it to?  I have been researching this topic for about a month now and find the response to printing on flowers to be 50/50.  Now I am just wondering about the quality or cost to print on flower.  Any comments from anyone? 

We didn't ever try this so have no idea how it might go.

As far as I know there is another technology. Not a special printer but special water-activated adhesive "paper". You can print on A4 sheet of it 80 to 100 small colour images and then glue them to a petal. I met some guys who sell this paper via internet here in Russia. They say that some company in USA produces it. Now I'm trying to find this producer to buy directly.
